Gabriella – Washington High School

This is Gabriella. She is a junior at Washington High School. Gaby is a very hard-working and motivated student. She has demonstrated incredible leadership skills in the clinical setting. I can always count on her to take the initiative and get things done. When it comes to working with the residents in the nursing home, Gaby thrives. It’s so exciting to watch her grow!

1. Why did you enroll in the Legacy Medical Academy CSA Pre-Nursing program?
I enrolled in the Legacy Medical Academy CSA Pre-Nursing program because I have a passion for helping those in need. I’ve always wanted to be in the medical field. This is one step closer to my dream career.

2. What are your plans after receiving the certification? Will you attend college, go right into the workforce, or both?
I plan on working as a CNA when I receive my certification. Then when I graduate high school, I plan on going to college.

3. What are your ultimate goals? How is the CNA certification (and everything you are learning through this opportunity) a step toward achieving those goals?
I would like to do something in radiology. I’m not exactly sure what yet, but I’m interested in that pathway. The CNA certification is opening a door for me into the medical field to show me the reality of day-to-day life for healthcare workers. Although I’m not certified yet, helping the residents during clinical excites me and makes me even more confident in my choice of work.
