1. The reason I chose to enroll in the Legacy Medical Academy Pre- Nursing program at my school is because I have a strong interest in healthcare and helping others. I also knew that it would be a great experience to start learning medical skills while still being in high school and that caught my attention.
2. My plans after I receive my CNA certification is to work as a CNA as soon as possible and work all summer. I will be attending college and working as a CNA while being in college.
3. My ultimate goal is to be a Pediatric nurse and achieve that dream I’ve always had. The CNA certification is helping me achieve this goal because it’s giving me so many new opportunities that will be so helpful and useful for me in the future. It’s also helping me get used to talking to people and getting used to how the medical field is. This opportunity that I was given is something that I’m beyond thankful for.
Ms. Daniel’s Statement:
I chose Kirsten for the student spotlight because she always has a positive attitude, even when it’s easier said than done. This is an important quality for a healthcare worker, and I am always impressed by her determination to succeed in this class. She is always one of the first to volunteer for things, even if she doesn’t know what she’s getting herself into. Her teachability and willingness to learn new things is something that every preceptor at any job will appreciate about her. She is also extremely kind and compassionate towards her residents, which is another trait that I find to be a necessity for anyone in the medical field. I know that wherever she ends up in the future, she will make a positive impact in her patient’s lives. Knowing that she wants to work in pediatrics, I think this would be a great choice for her, and I hope her CNA license helps her gain even more opportunities/experience for her in the future.
