We’re proud to share this exciting feature from WISH-TV highlighting Carmel High School’s innovative work-based learning partnership with IU Health—and the remarkable students at the heart of it. What makes this spotlight extra special? Every senior in the segment earned their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification through Legacy Medical Academy as juniors.
Now, as seniors, they’re gaining real-world experience during the school day—earning both paychecks and high school credit while learning on the job in a hospital setting.
This is exactly the kind of opportunity Legacy Medical Academy was built to support. By equipping students early with in-demand credentials and high-quality training, we’re helping Indiana schools lead the way in healthcare career readiness.
Way to go, Carmel High School, IU Health, and especially our Legacy-trained students!
