Madi, Legacy Instructor:
“This is Michaela. She is a senior at Mishawaka High School. She is a driven young woman, one of the kids in class who keeps her head down to study but is always first in line to practice her skills. I saw her thrive during clinicals, making genuine connections with residents while also showing other students how to perform tasks with confidence. It has been an absolute pleasure to have her in class!”

1. Why did you choose to enroll in the Legacy Medical Academy CSA Pre-Nursing program?
I chose to enroll in this program because I saw this as a big opportunity to learn more in the healthcare industry and a step towards my future goal.

2. What are your plans after you receive the certification? Will you attend college, go right into the workforce, or both?
My plans after receiving this certification are to get a job being a CNA and/or work in assisted living. I do plan to go to college, too. I’ve committed to Ball State for Radiology!

3. What are your ultimate goals? How is the CNA certification helping you achieve those goals?
My ultimate goal is to have certifications in a couple of fields—like CNA, RN, and Radiologist. This CNA certification and what I’m learning is a big step for me to achieve my goals because I’ll have a good base knowledge of what I am doing for the other certifications I want to get.
